Allgood, Molly (pseudonym ‘Máire O'Neill’) (1887-1952), actress. Born in Dublin, she was brought up in an orphanage and joined the Abbey Theatre in 1905. She played Pegeen Mike in the first productions of The Playboy of the Western World and was engaged to the author, J. M. Synge.
