yes, lower front driverside of the block on 1.8t models, not sure about the rest at this moment

When you change the oil, you drain it from the filter where the sensor is. It takes a moment for the new oil to circulate to the filter and let the sensor know you have oil

Till now it is not possible to make eye moment sensor... The scientist of Korea are researching..Try to search in technology review u may get any clue
