Monodilepas monilifera monilifera

Monodilepas monilifera monilifera is a subspecies of gastropod mollusc in the family Fissurellidae, endemic to New Zealand. It is found off Otago in the south of the South Island, Stewart Island, and at the Snares Islands, at depths of between 25 and 180 m.

The shell is rather large and solid, ovate, with the anterior end narrower. The foramen is relatively small, with a subtriangular internal callus. Sculpture is of numerous radial ribs crossed by subequal concentric ridges, resulting in a netted surface. The shell margin is smooth in adults but sometimes finely denticulate in juveniles.

Maximum shell height is 5 mm, width 16 mm, and length 22 mm.
