The Montreal Junior Hockey Club (French:Le Club de Hockey Junior de Montréal) are a junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League as of the 2008–09 season.[1] The team is based out of the Verdun Auditorium, in Verdun, Quebec. The St. John's Fog Devils franchise relocated at the conclusion of the 2007–08 QMJHL season.[2] The team's colours are maroon and white, [3] similar to the Montreal Maroons.[4]

History

The team started out as the St. John's Fog Devils when Newfoundland was granted an expansion franchise. The team was sold to a group of people intending to move the team to Montreal for the 2008-09 season.
