More Chuck Berry is a retitled reissued of the 1962 LP Chuck Berry Twist which itself is a collection of Chuck Berry Chess singles, most of them dating from the late '50s. There's no twisting here, just a bunch of rock & roll, beginning with "Maybellene" and then running through "Roll over Beethoven," "Around and Around," "School Days," "Reelin' and Rockin'," "Johnny B. Goode," and "Rock & Roll Music." There are a couple relatively smaller singles here -- "Oh Baby Doll," "Almost Grown," "Thirty Days" -- and the whole thing adds up to a really fun listen, even if all the tracks are now easier to track down elsewhere. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
