Review

A companion to Snoop’s 2009 album Malice N Wonderland, More Malice features five new songs plus two remixes, including the very necessary “Kings G-Mix” of “I Wanna Rock” with special guest Jay-Z. Adding Bun B to the “G-Mix” of “Pronto” gives the Soulja Boy collaboration some proper muscle, and as far as the new cuts, the off-kilter “House Shoes” satisfies with its Drumma Boy production, while the Kid Cudi collaboration “That Tree” is cosmic enough to make the Silver Surfer’s playlist. Stuck on the end is the standard version of “Gangsta Luv,” an idea left over from the initial plan of this being an expanded version of Malice N Wonderland. Instead of the original album along with the new cuts, fans get a bonus DVD featuring the Malice N Wonderland movie, a strange, dark, and wild short film with the rapper playing the ultimate Snooperhero. All together, it’s a decent set of odds and ends of most interest to the Snoopaholic. ~ David Jeffries, Rovi
