Album Review: More Noise and Other Disturbances

Review

As the title indicates, the Bosstones' second LP, More Noise and Other Disturbances, begins to downplay their ska influences in favor of punk and hard rock. The songwriting has slipped a bit, a problem that would plague the band throughout their early career, when they concentrated more on touring than crafting records in the studio. Nevertheless, there are enough good moments here to make it worthwhile for fans of the group's party-hearty, so-called "plaid" sound. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
