Plot

An exiled woman is finally able to return to her Carpathian village after WW II. When she was evacuated years before, she was forced to leave her daughter. Now she wants to find her. She hears that a woman living in a neighboring village adopted a girl about the same time. Sure enough, it is her daughter.
