Plot

The pain of raising children alone is presented in this tragedy that centers on the failure of a widowed mother of four bratty children to raise her children correctly. Each of them grows up to a sad adult life. One daughter endures a grim May-December marriage. One son, a talented architect, must leave town or be ruined by a scandal.
