"Move Over" is a promotional single released by the Spice Girls in 1997, as part of their Pepsi endorsement. Released prior to "Spice Up Your Life," this single did not chart in the U.S..[1] While never released commercially as a single, the song was included on the group's album Spiceworld, released later the same year and was also included on the group's Greatest Hits album.
In early 1997, the Spice Girls signed a multi-million sponsorship deal with Pepsi. The girls featured in the first television commercial which saw the girls in their own Pepsi-style clothes dancing to the back of a giant white screen with water and rain falling. There were three commercials altogether. They also released their own Pepsi cans with each individual girl on the cans.
Live performance
"Move Over" was a popular choice in the Istanbul Concert. The girls dressed up in metallic silver space suits running around the stage. At the end they went into a trance and started spinning around as if they were being controlled.
"Move Over" was also performed during the Spiceworld Tour.
