Multek Flexible Circuits (formerly Sheldahl) is proving its flexibility. Founded in 1955, the company makes flexible circuit boards, primarily for automotive and data communications applications. It bases most of its products on its Novaclad patented adhesiveless copper laminate, whose properties allow for smaller and more durable electrical circuits. Other products include coated films, barrier foils, flat cable tapes, adhesive specialties, membrane switches, rigid circuits, and splicing tapes. Sheldahl was acquired by Multek, a subsidiary of Singapore-based Flextronics (turnkey manufacturing service provider), and its name was changed to Multek Flexible Circuits.
