Arising from or pertaining to many foci.

  • m. cystic iris separation — separation of the posterior iridal epithelium of aged dogs.
  • m. intramural myocardial infarction — a result of hyalinization of small, intramural, coronary arteries in old dogs. Called also MIMI.
  • m. symmetrical myelinolytic encephalopathy — a fatal disease of Limousin and Simmental calves, beginning at about a month of age with blindness and dysmetria (Limousins) or at 5–8 months of age with signs of ataxia and weight loss (Simmentals).
  • m. syndrome — neurological signs indicating more than one lesion site. Usually seen with infectious diseases of the brain or degenerative storage diseases.
