Murr Television (marketed and widely known as MTV Lebanon) is a Lebanese television station based in Naccache, a suburb of the capital Beirut. It is owned by Lebanese politician Gabriel Murr and directed by his son Michel Murr (not to be confused with Gabriel Murr's brother Michel Murr). The station is one of three main Christian television stations in Lebanon, the other two being LBC and Orange TV.[1] Currently, the channel is one of the most popular channels in Lebanon.

History
Originally launched in 1991, Murr Television had been closed down by force on 4 September 2002 by the Lebanese authorities after the station was convicted, together with Mount Lebanon Radio Station, of breaking article 68 of the electoral law which bans electioneering ads on TV airwaves. Murr Television and Mount Lebanon Radio Station were both owned by anti-Syrian politician Gabriel Murr at the time.[2] On 7 April 2009, after nearly seven years of forced shutdown, the channel was relaunched with the intention of becoming a politically neutral station, according to CEO Michel Gabriel Murr.[3]
Programming
Murr Television features a variety of general-interest programs. News are aired in five daily bulletins: at 7:00 am, 8:00 am, 2:00 pm, 8:00 pm and 12:00 am (Beirut time). Many other programs are shown on the channel; some of them are:
