Murray Hill, Queens

Wikipedia: Murray Hill, Queens

Murray Hill is a smaller neighborhood within Flushing in the New York City borough of Queens. Traditionally home to families of Irish and Italian extraction, the neighborhood now is home to people of numerous ethnic backgrounds, including Korean, Chinese, Salvadoran and Colombian immigrants. [1]

The neighborhood is the site of the Murray Hill on the Long Island Rail Road's Port Washington Branch, offering service to the Woodside station and to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan.

This stop on the LIRR Port Washington branch has sometimes been confused with the Murray Hill located on the East side of Manhattan. Though speculation of an East side station continues to be discussed, there is not yet an East Side station on the LIRR and the only destination in Manhattan remains Penn Station.
