Mushin is a suburb of Lagos, located in Lagos State, Nigeria, and is one of Nigeria's 774 Local Government Areas.[1] It is located 10 km north of the Lagos city core, adjacent to the main road to Ikeja, and is a largely a congested residential area with inadequate sanitation and low-quality housing.

Mushin has about four industrial Estates which are:

  • Matori Industrial Estate — (Banking, shoes, furniture, Engineering products,Media & Telecommunication,foods and beverage Industries),
  • Ilupeju Industrial Estate — (Banking, Engineering products,comestics,foods and beverage Industries),
  • Aswani Industrial Estate — (Textiles Industries)
  • Ilasamaja-Isolo Industrial Estate — in which steel and aluminum products, furniture, concrete, clothing, plastics, textiles, beverages and shoes are produced.

Mushin also has many markets, among them are:

  • Ladipo Automobile Market — which is the best and large automobile market in Nigeria probably in Africa.
  • Ojuwoye Market — Main for food stuff, beverages and comestics is the largest retailing market in Lagos.
  • Aladesuru Market - A Food and general merchandise market.
  • Daleko Market — This market is the largest market for Rice, beans, and groundnut oil in Africa has more than 40 warehouses for storing rice, beans and other food products
  • Mushin Local Government is home to many great company: Nestle Nigeria Plc, Sosaplast, Records Labels, Elubo Grammar School owned by Abigail Oredola at 11 Iyalla Street.,

Mushin is also the home of Lagos University Teaching Hospital popularly known as LUTH.
