Review

Music From an Eastern Rosegarden is a classic CD by Al Gromer Khan. It is one of the finest hybrids of Indian and electronic music. Al Gromer Khan is one of a handful of westerners trained on the sitar by the legendary Khan family. That training involves the spiritual as well as the musical aspects of this mystical instrument. This disc fuses Eastern philosophies with Western philosophies too. The gentle atmospheres are smooth. The soundscapes are formidable. This disc is perfect for self-discovery and meditation. It will appeal to fans of Oöphoi, Klaus Wiese, Mathias Grassow, and Amir Baghiri. ~ Jim Brenholts, All Music Guide
