This recording includes "Three Indigenous Songs No. 3 (Hey When I Sing These Songs Hey Look What Happens)" (1979), with words based on Iroquois chants coded into instrumental music; "Phases" (1963), a computer-generated tape composition; "Quiet Fan for Erik Satie" (1970-1971), for an ensemble of 13 instruments (lyrical, hypnotically phase-modulated, Satie-like pastoral melodies); "For Ann (Rising)" (1969), a tape composition; "Spectral CANON for CONLON Nancarrow" (1974), for harmonic player piano; "Bridge" (1982-1984, excerpt), for two pianos, eight-hands; and "Voice(s)" (1982-1984), for instrumental ensemble, voice(s), tape, and tape delay (like a field of supernatural rainbows).
