Musicians Institute is a music college located in Hollywood, California. The school covers all aspects of contemporary music with a focus on performance. In addition to guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and voice programs, the school also offers degree and certificate programs in audio engineering, independent artist development, guitar design, fabrication and maintenance, music business and music video/film production.

History

Founded in 1977 as the Guitar Institute of Technology with an innovative curriculum developed by jazz guitarist Howard Roberts, the school eventually grew into a comprehensive contemporary music college that prepares students for careers in the music industry as both performers and professionals. Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), MI offers Bachelor Degree, Associate Degree, and Certificate programs in voice, instrument performance (bass, guitar, drums, keyboards), audio engineering, independent artist development, music business, guitar-making and music video/film production, all taught by a faculty of experienced music professionals. MI is internationally known and draws significant numbers of students from Europe, South America and Asia.
