Eminem (born Marshall Bruce Mathers III and also known as Slim Shady) born in Kansas moved to Eastside of Detroit when he was 12. After Dr. Dre heard his freestyle sound on a local Los Angeles radio station Eminem became Dr. Dre's prodigy. "My Name Is" is the No. 1 video on MTV and one of the most requested songs on rock and urban radio stations. Since the language on this CD would make any one's mom take the CD and burn it, stations play the edited version of "My Name Is." None the less, more Eminem will emerge as 1999's best new rap artist. ~ Amanda Nusbaum, Rovi
