1. proliferation of bone marrow tissue, producing the blood changes of myelocytic leukemia.
2. formation of a tumor of the spinal cord.
- erythremic m. — a malignant blood dyscrasia, one of the myeloproliferative disorders, with progressive anemia, megaloblastic erythroid hyperplasia, myeloid dysplasia and hepatosplenomegaly. Seen most often in cats with feline leukemia virus infection.
- megakaryocytic m. — see megakaryocytic leukemia.
