Myocardial Resection: Aftercare

Immediately after surgery, the patient will be moved to a recovery room until the effects of anesthesia have worn off. The patient will then be transferred to the intensive care unit for further recovery. In the intensive care unit, the heart will be monitored for any disturbances in rhythm and the patient will be watched for any signs of post-operative problems.
