N.U. Holding is hardly numero uno in the pizza business. The struggling company franchises Numero Uno Pizzeria restaurants featuring Sicilian deep-dish and New York-style thin crust pizza, sandwiches, and other Italian-themed foods. Its eateries are located primarily in California and include both full-service, sit-down restaurants and quick-service pick-up and delivery units. To focus on its franchising operations, N.U. Holding sold or closed its company-owned stores and closed its Formaggi subsidiary (Oregon's Original Sandwich Express and Bakeries, Formaggi Pizza/Sandwich Express). It is now marketing its restaurant concept under the Numero Uno Magic Pizza brand.
