Nacht Der Woelfe

Plot

In an adaptation of West Side Story, director Ruediger Nuechtern has two rival gangs -- the Bavarian "Revengers" and the Turkish "Bloody Eagles" -- face off on a playground in a fight that will end with the killing of one leader. Trouble starts when a Turkish bakery opens across from an Italian ice cream parlor, inviting the rival gang into foreign territory and setting off the dispute with the Revengers. As in West Side Story, everything is complicated when the girlfriend of the Revengers' leader falls in love with a Turk from the opposite gang. ~ Eleanor Mannikka, Rovi
