Nancy Kahalewai

Nancy S Kahalewai (born Nancy Sue Rehnborg September 7, 1951) is a teacher, author and certified practitioner of Hawaiian massage or lomilomi.

Hawaiian Lomilomi: Big Island Massage (I M Publishing, 2000) was the first 'how to' book on lomilomi to be published. It was later revised and reprinted (2005, ISBN 0-9677253-2-1) and translated into German and Japanese editions.

Kahalewai is the publisher of Ho'opono by Pali Jae Lee (I M Publishing, 2007, ISBN 978-09677253-7-6), as well as Dance of Power by Susan Gregg (2005) and The Art of Russian Massage by Olena Adams (2008).

A Hawaii licensed massage therapist since 1977, Kahalewai founded two massage schools on the Big Island of Hawaii, co-directed the Kona Ironman Triathlon massage team (1982-1986) and the Volcano Marathon (1994-1999), and founded Island Moonlight Retreat in New Zealand in 2006.
