Nantan (南丹市 Nantan-shi) is a city located in Kyoto, Japan.
As of May 1, 2008, the city has an estimated population of 35,424. The total area is 616.31 km².
The city was founded on January 1, 2006 by the merger of the former towns of Sonobe, Yagi, Hiyoshi, and Miyama. The name of Nantan stands for "southern Tamba".
Sights include the Rurikei Prefectural Natural Park.
