(năn'tĭkōk) , city (1990 pop. 12,267), Luzerne co., NE Pa., on the Susquehanna River; founded 1793, inc. as a city 1926. It is largely residential. Plastic products are manufactured. Nanticoke was formerly the heart of an anthracite-coal mining region, but production has declined.
