The Naples-Marco Island, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area is a Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) consisting of Collier County in the state of Florida in the United States. The principal cities in the MSA are Naples and Marco Island. In 2005 the population of the MSA was 317,788.[1] The Naples, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area was first defined in 1990. Marco Island was added as a principal city and the name changed to its present form in 2003.
