Native American Drums and Flute features a modest number of songs by Native American performers, most of which are relatively unknown. The emphasis here is on drums and flute playing, two central instruments in Native American music. Given this emphasis and the variety of performers and their respective performance styles, this collection functions as a good introduction to Native American music for the unacquainted. Seasoned listeners to Native American music will probably find this collection to be a bit lackluster.
