Review

This album by the Tennessee brothers is a mix of relaxing pop with some infectious Southern rock. The theme seems to revolve around getting out of the Knoxville area and heading for better and bigger things. Although clocking in at less than 25 minutes, the album appears to be fairly strong throughout, with a tinge of the country element at times. The harmonies of both Ed and Matt Richardson work well on the opening "Goin Out Tonight." The highlight seems to be "North Knoxville," a hometown homage to pawnshops and other small town amenities. It also has some nice chord progressions and riffs. Both "Sherpa" and "Rawk and Roll Show" are also good rockers. If there's one setback, it's "Everybody's Breakin Up," which doesn't seem to get off the ground lyrically and musically. Generally a good effort, but the band certainly aren't challenging themselves here. ~ Jason MacNeil, Rovi
