Plot

The Arctic has one of the harshest environments on earth, and survival can only belong to the lifeforms best equipped to deal with unyielding weather conditions. Nature: Kingdom of the Ice Bear focuses on an animal that is uniquely suited for the area at the top of the world -- the polar bear. In this mostly untouched wilderness, the polar bear thrives and reproduces with success. This three-hour special scrutinizes the ways in which the bear survives, breeds, and raises its young. In addition, there is a look at other creatures who live in this tundra. ~ Alice Day, Rovi
