Plot

Gardening has reached a peak in England, and its fabled weather conditions provide an ideal environment for the many parks and gardens in its landscape. Historian/host William Howard Adam journeys to England to show viewers the wide range of styles utilized in British gardens. These range from simple cottage gardens that brighten the areas around small houses to the opulence and luxury of royal parks and castle gardens. Adam visits Great Dixter, the garden of author and lecturer Christopher Lloyd, which combines several small gardens including a kitchen garden, a rose garden, and an area for topiary. ~ Alice Day, Rovi
