Naughty America is a production company for pornographic films that specializes in fantasies (most of its content consists of reality porn). Their studios are based in Los Angeles, California, and their corporate offices are in San Diego, California. Naughty America is owned by La Touraine, Inc.
History
While on its logo it shows 'established in 1776', the company was actually founded in June 2000 with a small staff under the Brand Name SoCal Cash and changed its brand name in March 2004 to Naughty America. The date 1776 refers to the United States Declaration of Independence in which Thomas Jefferson declared the right of “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” [1]
The company now employs over 60 staff members and has released over 70 DVDs[2]. These DVDs are distributed world wide by Pureplay Media since November 2005.
In August 2007, Naughty America began publishing "The Naughty American," a news and commentary site that focuses on "naughtiness" from around the United States. The publication, known colloquially as "TNA," can be found at the official webpage.
At the beginning of 2008, Naughty America's slogan changed from "The Difference Is Here" to "Nobody Does It Better".
La Touraine, Inc launched a gay line called Suite 703 on January 2008.
In October 2008, Naughty America launched an Adobe Air-based application called Naughty America Direct, which was described as "basically an iTunes for porn". It sold individual full-length DRM-free scenes with no subscription.[3]
On 25 November 2008 Naughty America Direct was closed down.
