Plot

This documentary -- hosted by Pat Riley, former coach of the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers and one of the greatest coaches in the NBA -- explores the history of professional basketball through half a century, from an early look at the Boston Celtics in the 1920s through the 1989 Detroit Pistons . Archival footage offers viewers a nostalgic look at star players of the past, outstanding coaches, memorable teams, developing skills, memorable and innovative plays, and exciting wins and losses through the decades.
