A
chromone drug used to prevent attacks in the treatment of
asthma and for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis. It is available as a metered-dose aerosol for inhalation, as a pump spray for the nose, and as eye drops. Nedocromil is a
prescription only medicine.
Side effects: with eye drops there may be mild local irritation and taste disturbances. When inhaled it may cause coughing, occasionally headache and stomach upsets, and rarely transient wheezing.
