Plot

This one-reel Vim slapstick comedy featured the team of Plump (Oliver Hardy) and Runt (Billy Ruge) (Hardy, of course, would find lasting fame a decade later when he teamed up with Stan Laurel). Mrs. Runt (Florence McLoughlin) urges her husband to go out and find work. So he takes off and sits in the park to read the paper. Plump, meanwhile, has gone to work at a garage. While Runt is away, Mrs. Runt's brother shows up and he takes his sister out in a taxi cab. The taxi breaks down and Plump drives his car down to help (the car he has in the film actually did belong to Hardy). Runt goes along, and, since he has never met his brother-in-law, he believes that his wife is involved with another man. This sends him into a fit that has him thrashing everyone around him. Plump's car blows up in the fracas while the Runts finally clear up the mistaken identity. ~ Janiss Garza, Rovi
