Netopia is a company, headquartered in Emeryville, California, that produces a variety of broadband products including modems, routers, gateways, and Wi-Fi devices. The company also produces the NBBS (Netopia Broadband Server Software), as well as the Timbuktu remote administration software. The company was originally founded as Farallon Computing and changed its name to Netopia in 1998. Netopia was acquired by Motorola in the first quarter of 2007.
