Wikipedia: Network World

Network World is a weekly IT publication that provides news and information to network executives.

It was started in 1986 by parent company International Data Group as a spin-off of Computerworld. In 1995 Network World launched a Web site called Network World Fusion which it renamed NetworkWorld.com in 2005. The site is updated daily with news, features, product reviews and tests, opinions, blogs, videos and podcasts and includes a blog written by popular columnist Mark Gibbs.

In 2006, Network World diversified, taking over the management of two online-only IDG titles: LinuxWorld, and JavaWorld.

Network World's Events arm holds many conferences and seminars each year, including Demo.

The company's headquarters is in Framingham, Massachusetts.
