US Military Dictionary: New Orleans Greys

Two companies of volunteers from New Orleans that fought in the Texas War of Independence. Organized in 1835 and led by Adolphus Sterne, the Greys fought in the siege of Béxar (1835), and many died at the Alamo (1836).
