This war drama from North Vietnam is nothing more than blatant anti-American propaganda. A Viet Cong guerilla tries to blow up a bridge when U.S. Secretary Of Defense Robert McNamara visits the region. The guerilla is captured and subjected to torture in a graphically violent scene where nails are driven through his fingers to get him to reveal his collaborators. Later, a South Vietnamese prison guard sneaks in to help the victim recover from his harrowing experience. The man is released to his wife before being jailed again and ultimately executed. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi
