Nicholas Bishop (born 19 September 1973) is an Australian actor best known for his role as Detective Peter Baker on the soap opera Home and Away. He was born in England, but moved with his parents to Canberra, Australia, when he was 6 months old. He now lives in The northern beaches area of Sydney with his girlfriend Claire, daughter Ava Lilly and son Harrison

• He graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 1996.
• He has been a regular screen acting tutor for full-time National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) students (Sydney, Australia) since 1997.
• He was born in England but moved with his parents to Canberra, Australia when he was 6 months old as his father was an Army * Colonel and then a diplomat. He has also lived in Queensland and Adelaide, Australia and in Singapore and Washington DC.
