Nick Folk (born November 5, 1984 in Hollywood, California) is an American football kicker who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Arizona.
Folk was selected to be the NFC kicker in the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2007.

Early years
Folk played high school football at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, and was named an "All-CIF" player.
College career
Folk played college football at the University of Arizona. The longest field goal of his college career, 52-yards, came in 2005 against USC.
Professional career
Dallas Cowboys
Folk was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round (178th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. On December 30, 2007, against the Washington Redskins, he broke the Cowboys single-season record for most points by a placekicker (131). He made longest kick of his career, a 53-yard game winner against the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football during his rookie season. Due to a timeout by Buffalo Bills head coach Dick Jauron, Folk's first attempt, which he made, did not count and the Cowboys had to line back up for another attempt, which he again made.[2][3] That season, he was selected as the kicker for the NFC during the Pro Bowl.
After struggling with field goals during the 2009 NFL season, Folk was waived on December 21, 2009 after he missed a crucial 24 yard field goal against the New Orleans Saints two days before. The Cowboys still won the game against the then undefeated Saints, but that kick would have made it much more difficult for New Orleans to win and instead, the Cowboys defense was forced to make a stand against the NFL's number 1 offense.
Personal
His younger brother Erik is currently the placekicker for the University of Washington Huskies Football team.
