NIDO (also written 'Nido') is a powdered milk supplement manufactured by Nestlé. Although there is no age recommendation,[1] marketing is featured around children over three years of age with the tagline "Nutritious Milk for Growing Kids". Nido boasts a fortified formula that includes calcium and vitamin D, and is said to contribute to over twenty essential ingredients a growing child needs. Because of this, the nutritionally-enriched product has become not just a competitor for other milk-based drinks, but also faces scrutiny from supporters of natural milk consumption, including breastfeeders, and is known to be given to one-year-old infants.

History
The brand NIDO was first launched as a whole milk powder in Switzerland in 1944, and was progressively introduced in other countries thereafter.[2] Since 1998 the NIDO brand has been replaced by the KLIM brand in some markets, and vice-versa, due to Nestlé's acquisition of KLIM from Borden.
Availability
Nido is available in Mexico, Asia, Middle East, most of Africa, most of South America and Canada. Nido is also available in some parts of the United States. Usually, Nido is found in most Wal-Marts in the Hispanic Foods aisle.
