Nikolaus Peucker

Peucker, Nikolaus (Jauer, Silesia, 1625-74, Cölln/ Spree), a municipal officer of Cölln near Berlin, was the author of simple homely poems and songs, later collected as Wohlklingende lustige Pauke (1702). He enjoyed the favour of the Great Elector (see Friedrich Wilhelm, der Grosse Kurfürst).
