Nishi-Yokohama Station (西横浜駅 Nishi-Yokohama-eki?) is a railway station located in Nishi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It is 1.8 kilometers from the northern terminus of the line at Yokohama Station.

History

Nishi-Yokohama Station was opened on February 14, 1929. From 1948 to 1993, the station was primarily a freight station connecting Yokohama with the Hodogaya Freight Terminal. On February 14, 1993 an unexploded bomb from World War II was discovered during construction work near the station. The current station building dates from June 26, 2005.
