Noncredit Services

Banking Dictionary: Noncredit Services

Services performed for corporate customers, or for other banks via a correspondent banking relationship, that do not involve the extension of credit and payment of finance charges. Such services include check collection, cash management, trust services, and provision of account summary information by telephone or electronic terminal. Noncredit services are a major source of fee income, supplementing interest income earned on outstanding loans.
