Financial & Investment Dictionary: Nondiversified Management Company

According to the Investment Company Act of 1940 (Section 5 b.2), any management company that does not meet the requirements of a Diversified Investment [Management] Company. These are mutual funds or closed-end funds, often venture capital funds, operating under policies that permit investment of a relatively large portion of the fund's assets in particular companies or other concentrations. Sometimes also called concentrated funds, focused funds, or undiversified funds.
