Founded in 1964 Norco Products Ltd. (or Norco Performance Bikes, its marketing name) is one of the oldest Canadian bicycle manufacturers and distributors in the country.
Norco sells bicycles, bicycle parts and cycling accessories.
Its its head office is located in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
Locations
Norco has two major Canadian warehouses — one in Toronto along with one co-located with its head office in Port Coquitlam, BC. Norco also has a domestic manufacturing facility in Langley, British Columbia.
Distribution
Norco currently distributes their line of bicycles to over 20 countries all over the world. Besides designing and developing bicycles and cycling products, Norco distributes over 10,000 other products and accessories to bike dealers across Canada.
Mountain Bikes
Norco started making mountain bikes in 1984. When suspension was being developed for mountain bikes, Norco was the first North American bike company to design a front suspension-specific mountain bike.
Being a bike company on the Port Coquitlam north shore, mountain bikers were asking for a bike to handle the rough conditions of that area. Norco first developed their line of VPS bikes specifically for the roots, rocks, steps and ladders of the region.
