North by North Western (NXNW) is a seven-day arts festival in Wigan, Greater Manchester. Run by volunteers, the festival launched in 2007 and occurs annually in August.[1] It focuses on local music, art, poetry and film.
Artists and acts that have performed at the festival have included Gerard Starkie, Selfish Cunt, Voluntary Butler Scheme, and Cowtown.
