North Catholic High School is a private Catholic high school located on Troy Hill on the Northside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The school's mascot is the Trojan and its official colors are scarlet and gold.
North Catholic High School began as an all-boys school in 1939, founded by Bishop Hugh Charles Boyle of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and the Marianists.[3] Girls first began enrolling in the school in 1973. North Catholic currently has over 12,000 alumni world-wide.
North Catholic High School continues their mission of educating students from Pittsburgh and surrounding suburbs in the Marianist Tradition of excellence in academics and true family spirit.

North Catholic High School offers a wide variety of activities for all students. Our 'no-cut' policy allows all students to participate in the activity of their choice.
Athletic programs feature: football, soccer, basketball (for men and women), crew, golf, volleyball (women), cheerleading, baseball, softball (women) and wrestling.
The Fine Arts Department offers students the opportunity to participate in dramatic productions thorughout the year. Fall and Spring Musicals are produced every year, as are the student-driven "One-Act Plays." Students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of the theater, including creation of props and sets, costumes, etc.
The NC Forensics Team offers students the opportunity to participate in speech and debate competitions locally, regionally and nationally. Students are encouraged to explore the various elements of forensics and compete accordingly.
The NC Leadership Team allows students to become peer-teachers to local grade school children. Members of this group are all certified CPR trainers and educate local businesses and healthcare professional in CPR techniques. Over 25 programs are offered to local grade schools by this innovative and motivated team of students.
NC Student Government is focused on student-driven activities. The annual blood drives, dances, homecoming festivities and Senior week are all projects driven by student government.
The LIFE (Living In Faith Experience) and Campus Ministry groups enable students to learn more about their Catholic faith while interacting with their peer and helping the community at-large. These groups also sponsor retreats for students.
In early 2008 the North Catholic robotics team competed in the First Robotics competition at the University of Pittsburgh. They placed 17 out of 33, which is reasonably well considering most of the teams were veterans. The team was sponsored by the North Catholic Alumni Association.
The current tuition rate is approximately $8,695 for a Catholic student and $9,245 for a non-Catholic student.
