Plot

This video from the PBS series Nova takes the viewer to Nebraska to learn the fascinating story of the state's geologic history. Ten million years ago, a tremendous volcanic eruption buried the region in up to ten feet of ash. The remains of flora and fauna are preserved in stone, and provide clues and answers to questions about life in those times. Paleontologist and Nebraska native Mike Voorhies, who discovered the prehistoric site, shares what he has learned from the physical evidence of another era. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, Rovi
